The Kailash watch from Suunto was designed and made for all you explorers, travellers, nomads, adventurers, and of course yacht crew out there!
“The launch of the Suunto Kailash marks an expansion of Suunto as a brand for those who wholeheartedly live their life as adventure and strive for progress. For many people, adventure isn’t something that can be reduced to a particular skill-set or outdoor discipline – first and foremost it’s a mindset. The Suunto Kailash was designed and handcrafted with these people in mind”, says Peter Nortmann, Business Director of Lifestyle Watches at Suunto.
The watch collects data such as, cities and countries you have visited, number of days travelled, steps per day, and furthest distance you have travelled from home. It creates your very own wrist logbook of travels, which you can access by pushing the 7R sapphire button on the side of your watch. You can set the timeline to display altitude, sunrise/sunset, or step count along with current time as you travel.
For a more detailed map of your adventures iPhone users can download the 7R App and pair it to your clever watch. This gives you a visual travel timeline on your phone, enables you to receive notifications on your watch, and even share your adventure information with friends.
Wherever you stop off along the way, the Suunto Kailash uses GPS to track your location. You can set a navigation point and the watch will point you in the right direction and tell you how far you need to go to get back to it, so you can explore without having to remember your way back!
Strong materials such as sapphire crystal and space grade titanium, as well as the durable and comfortable silicone strap make the watch perfectly suited for the travelling life. Plus it’s a great looking timepiece too!
